This my C.O. 40 Gallon Setup from both ends.

What kind of cryptocoryne do you have in your tank? I mean the red one.
 
That's a beautiful set-up. How deep is the water? It's hard to tell from the pictures. Do you have a frontal view?
 
It's hard to tell from the pics, but the crypt appears to be "red" wendtii.
 
Wendtii is correct. The water is about 4" deep, it was about 6 inches at one time I think I will be raising it back up to 6 when I move.

You have a lot of land area for your c.o. To think that mine are 99% aquatic. Don't you think it will be harder for you to monitor and feed them on land?
