I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about the website Buy-Axolotls.com? I was just browsing the net about axies and came upon their site. They charge WAY TO MUCH! for axies, They dont know the correct colors or types of axies they are selling (They are listing them as weird colors, im assuming for more money) they just seem very backwards to me and super sketchy. Im hoping to help other people avoid buying axies from scamming people such as this website portrays. Watch out everyone wanting to buy axies online! please do your research before buying! Ive owned and bred axies for a very long time now and care very much about axolotls, I just want everyone to be informed and have happy healthy doodles! any info or experiences with that website would be great.
Thanks!

Yes it's pretty well known on this site that that website is horrible and riddled with false information. There have also been several reports of the owner of buy-axolotls scamming people out of both money and animals.

Wow, I kinda had the feeling that the site was a giant sack of scam and false info. Its just frustrating to know that people will fall for websites like this and think they are getting a good deal when in reality they are loosing money, more then likely buying sick animals and funding scum like that. Thank you for your input :)

Wow sorry to bring this up so late but I was very close to buying some axolotls off that site, and its hard not to think about it when you google axolotl and that is literally the only place to buy them other than from a breeder on here.

Its funny because it only takes less than an hour on this site to realize why that site is nothing but a scam. Glad you didn't get ripped off and its unfortunate that that site is the first one that comes up.

hate to dredge up a post from 2014, but buyanaxolotl.com is actually where i got my first axolotl from.
thankfully, i didn't end up getting scammed, and my communications with the breeder were pleasant, but their site is definitely lacking a lot of information and also provides misinformation. namely, it doesn't mention cycling very much at all, giving more of a "let the tank sit for several weeks" type explanation- and not mentioning water testing at all. it also says "cool water" but fails to specify an exact temperature range. most concerning of all is the bit where they say that a 10 gallon is suitable for a fully grown axolotl- they follow it up by saying 20 is better, but honestly 20 is just the required minimum. as far as price- it wasn't that bad for me. i got a 4 month old melanoid (who is now about to turn 3 in june) for about $65-$70 total (shipping + actual animal.) less than $75 is pretty good for an axolotl + shipping on an actual website, (see fantaxies and ivysaxolotls for examples of higher prices) but buying from a caudata user is MUCH cheaper. hope this helps anyone looking into it!!
