Hi everyone,
We have had our 1st axolotl for nearly a week now and I'm a little worried about his tail. Both the top and bottom seem to have flapped over. I've searched pictures and can't find anything like Bruce's tail. He is 3 months old, 3 inches long and we got him from a pet shop where he lived with 4 other babies, hence why his gills are nibbled ( I'm guessing).
Ammonia levels are at 0.5 mmol( tap water is 0.25) and tank temp is 21degees.
Can anyone tell me if his tail is normal or is this stress?
Thanks in advance,
Mel
