Was wondering how long brine shrimp will live ,?I have two batches going to feed my axie babies ,seems a little too much when I feed them ,will a batch of shrimp last another day if I leave them in the salt mix ?
Thanks

I keep my newly hatched artemia one to two days and then throw it out.

If you feed the baby brine shrimp, they can last awhile although I am not sure if brine shrimp are as nutritious as when first hatched. Feed them something like Phytoplankton, and if you have excess, do you have other fish tanks? Fish appreciate the snack :D

Do you have experience raising baby brine shrimp on phytoplankton?

Yes, some. My SO was culturing phyto (Nannochloropsis oculata) for our saltwater tanks, and curiosity got the better of us, so we wanted to see what brine shrimp would think of it. They devoured it. The interesting thing we noticed is that phyto and brine shrimp are raised in a similar specific gravity so there is little phyto die off while the brine shrimp feast on it.

Culturing phyto is a bit or work though.

Thanks. I hear lots of people suggest that is easy to raise baby brine shrimp. I rarely come across anyone who has done it. I prefer to use it up quickly.
