I was at a reptile show and they had hundreds of oriental firebelly toads, most were bright green and some dark brown. Then I saw this one toad that stood out from the rest, it was brick red and lime green, it had almost no black spots on it's body at all. It's belly was the same as the rest of the toads. I was going to buy it but I had no money for a new tank for it.

I tried googling and looking all over and I have never found another toad that looked like this one, it was one of a kind as far as I know. Has anyone found another like this?

Picture of the frog, it was a photo I scanned so quality isnt the best but you can still see the big difference.

This is the best color I could find to match it.

You didn't buy it?(though they look in pretty bad condition)

I dont understand your question? That picture was of the tank of fire belly toads for sale at the Reptile Expo. No the toads there arent mine, that's how they were being sold at the expo.

I am puzzled by the middle frog's coloration, it has almost no black spots and even the green color of it is not even close to the others. I was wondering if it's a new color morph.

Yeah the toads were thin, but any store that sells them, this is what they usually look like when the shipment comes in and they havent eaten in a while. I asked the people selling them and they said they just got the toads shipped to them the day of the Fair, so they didnt have time to fatten them up.

Looks very strange at my eyes. There are few black spots, just on the legs.

I have seen photos of a similar colour morph - I think from a breeder in eastern Europe?

I mean, you show us this photo and you didn't snap it up in case it was something special.

Yeah besides the color that is what is very odd, your not seeing things either, it is lacking black spots over most of it's body.

Well I could have bought it, but I had nothing at home to put it in and not enough money for all the other materials needed. Yeah I would have had the toad, but would it have been fair to buy it on impulse when I know I couldn't have properly cared for it, No. That's why I took a picture at least I could show people a picture of it.

Could you mabye post a link of the information about them, I would be interested in learning more.

I read that this might be called "patternless", meaning for the lack of black spots.
