I've got to adult axis last night my first adults I have two babies in a separate tank. I've woken up this morning and I'm guessing what the male has left is spermatogenesis in the tank it's only one stem thing but I've removed it but unsure if there were more do I need to separate female and when will I know if babies are on the way if they are? I don't want babies hence new tank being delivered next week.

Chances are it's already too late - assuming you have a male and female.

A female will usually start laying after 24 hours, and take about 2 days to finish.

If you do get eggs you can sell them or give them away, or to prevent them from developing you can freeze them.

Do I need to separate her so she can lay eggs? She's massively fat compared to him
