I currently have a pair of axolotls, and was wondering if i can use the male to breed with a second female this breeding season, the females with be in separate tanks and the male will be swapped between them every week or so during breeding season. Is this an option or asking for trouble? Or is it better if they were all in the same 3ft?

I think swapping him between the tanks would be very stressful for himand he cannot settle down. So I wouldn´t do that. A 3 ft tank is big enough for 3 axies, so I would keep them all together. :D

You could also just leave the male with the first female until they breed, and then move him once to the other female to breed, leaving him there afterwards (or move him one last time to keep him separate from the ladies to prevent further breeding).
