Hi everyone, I have kept the Paddle Tail Newt Pachytriton labiatus for a year. Recently, i decided to breed them, how can i make them breed???

Well that's a good question. Very few people have managed to breed them, and to my knowledge, nobody has done it consistently so there's really no magic formula to follow. I've heard that even if the do breed, the juveniles do very poorly. Maybe others have more insight.
I read that with breeding newts, you have to drop the temperature for a while, then bring it back up. to make the newts think it is spring, and then the beginning of summer. I didn't do this, but my newts bred on their own. Now I'm trying to find out what all I should do!
