I have a male wild axolotl who I was looking to breed with my female,I don't know his background or where he came from except that he is a gfp wild,I was wondering if I could still breed him.

IMO, the question comes down to 'should' you. What is your goal?

Are you wanting to have the experience of raising a handful of eggs? Do you have the equipment to raise the larvae (and a means to acquire or raise live food)? Are you planning on keeping that larvae if they survive? If you need to sell, is there interest in your area for axolotls?

I've raised eggs before, this will be my third time,I'm just curious to see what their recessive traits are and what they produce.
