Hello, I figured since I just joined caudata.org, I'd post a few pics of my axolotl (Bozo) in this gallery. I've had him for about 6 months and he seems to be pretty happy so far.

aww he is gorgeous! hehe. do you have any pics of your tank? from what i can see it looks very nice! hehe.

Thanks for all of your nice comments. I just took a few pics of my aquarium. I need to trim the anacharis back, but I suppose it's alright to show. I also include a pic of Bozo in his favorite daytime hiding spot and a shot of one of the ghost shrimps in my aquarium. Although, I feed him mainly worms, I think he likes to "hunt" the ghost shrimp at night. He's pretty good at finding them, but not too good at catching them.
You may also notice two goldfish in the aquarium. I've seen that they're quite controversial on this website. However, the pet store where I bought him was feeding him goldfish. I bought some awhile back when he was new and I was having trouble feeding him. He ate them pretty quickly, but two have continued to survive. They don't seem to bother him when he's hiding during the day, but when he chases them at night, he sure bothers them while they're trying to rest.

Hello, I’m hoping for some advice please. Our Axolotl is about 7 months old. Till now no problem. Eating, growing and happy. He’s simply stopped eating. Everything looks fine, his gills look healthy and no apparent signs of sickness. He just swims past the pellets and bloodworm like he can’t smell it. I don’t think it’s a blockage either. Any ideas and suggestions for treatment would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
