Diablo left spermatophores around again,but at the moment I am not too sure if Boris is a girl or not.What I want to know is do boys leave blobs if there is no female,or worse yet,just another male?Boris has just reached a year old,and although quite "well fed" shaped has a wee lump behind the back legs,very confusing.

Boys will leave spermatophores with no female present. Mine do it almost every time I change the water. I have all males. Boris will show you in time. One of mine didn't show his sexual maturity until one of the bigger males tried to force him to pick up a spermatophore, and this was at near 18 months of age.
