Have you thought about getting some thing like a shower shelf? or a shower caddy and putting live plants in it? That adds another level and some live plants to eat up the nitrates

Why do I need another level? I am confused lol.

I would add some plants but I do not want natsu destroying them, all my other tanks have live plants.

do you have java fern in any of your tanks?
Ive got some small sproutlings I tied to a rock, you can see them in the picture
might cut off a small bunch of leaves if you have some in your tank and tie them to a rock or piece of driftwood
my axie doesnt seem to bother the ones in there now but he will go lay on top of them sometimes lol

I do ... but my plants don't seem to grow so cutting it isn't an option.

I too was looking for hides, I was looking on here the other day and found this DIY stone cave, I am just waiting on the glue to come from Amazon so I can make it,
