Bolitoglossa sp.

This a Bolitoglossa sp. my dad saw in Nicaragua on a trip. I don't know the exact species, only that it is endemic to a mountain called Mombacho. It's an amazing animal.

if it is endemic to Mombacho vulcano then it will be Bolitoglossa mombachoensis

as for the picture, are you sure that you saved them as a jpeg?

It's a jpeg and it's definitely not a link (it's saved in a MyPictures folder), but when i try and upload it onto the computer it says it's uploading but it just ends up doing what it did up there.

Hi Simon, sometimes firewalls can interfere with the upload process. If that's the problem, you may be able to program an exception into the firewall that allows this to work. I would very much like to see these photos! If adjusting the firewall doesn't work, maybe you can e-mail them to me and I'll post them for you.

I don't know. It's probably just my dumb computer, it does stuff like this a lot (eg, it doesn't let me access my email). I'll try to do on another computer, otherwise I'll email them to you (there's only 5 + a spectacular Red eyed treefrog).

Nice work (both the photos, and getting them posted)! If you are quite sure they were taken on Mt. Mombacho, I would like to ID them as Bolitoglossa mombachoensis and post the photos on Caudata Culture. Anyone object?

No objections. It was my dumb computer that wouldn't let me post the pics. They were without question taken on Mombacho.
