they are notorious for not surviving-even with all my experience i will not try to keep them, ZOO's have trouble keeping them alive, Ed can tell you more about them-i think the whole genus are beautiful and extremely interesting but i have never even tried to keep one-its a personal opinion(but echoed by many) that these are not worth buying because their survival rate in captivity is so extremely low, which in turn makes their chance of captive breeding very very low and thus its not worth supporting the pet trade that supplies them until some major breakthrough in their care and keeping happens. admittedly this will have no chance of happening if no one keeps them-but i leave this up to people with more resources and more than my near decade of experience to attempt. ..its my opinion you are just asking for more heartache to get another.
