Hello,

I have about 100 2-3 day old tweakers and my bbs hatchery crashed. I started a new batch but don't expect it to be usable for 2-3 days. I seem to remember reading people have used chopped black worms as food from the get go. Mine never seem to go for them until a couple weeks.

Here's my first attempt, which didn't seem to work to well. Do I just chop the worms finer and make all dots and no wigglers?

I have no experience of feeding blackworm to small axys but the food needs to be small enought to eat, take a razor to the worm , keep chopping till the axys will eat it.

What kind off bbs eggs are you using? Most types should hatch around the 24 hr mark. You can try using chopped up blackworms but I think your babies should be fine until your bbs hatch.

I've used chopped blackworms with no problem, although never on any THAT young. You should be able to chop them up small enough though. You'll have to clean them up after feeding as they do foul the water once their chopped up.
