My axolotl laid eggs (still is actually) and I've noticed that a lot of the eggs are half black, half white. She's leucistic GFP, and one male is wildtype GFP & the other is wildtype. So I get that there would be 2 colors mainly, but how common is it for most eggs to be half & half?

This is the natural process of dark colored eggs
It has nothing to do with eventual offspring color.

Ah, I thought so once a lot of them started looking that way, but I wasn't sure.
