Best Newt To Own

What is an easy newt to take care of? I have a couple red spotted and I want to get some more but I will keep them in separate cages of course. So what is a another good newt to get?

Pleurodeles waltl is an ideal option. The genus Triturus is also a good beginner choice, specially the "cristatus complex" (T.karelinii, T.carnifex, T.dobrogicus, T.cristatus..).

Any of those is an easy to care for, easily available as captive-bred, option.

I feel that Pleurodeles watl may be the most overlooked of the newts. Most folks do not find them very "pretty", but they make up for that in "personality". They are amazing to watch and so easy to care for.

I am also a huge fan of the Cynops sp.
