Best newt for a beginner

Hi all, im looking in to getting a newt, thing is i cant decided which sort. this would be my very first newt so any advice would be great. :happy:

It depends on personal preference really, whether you're wanting a terrestrial or aquatic animal.
Some good aquatic species are H. cyanurus, T. dobrogicus, T. karelinii, T. cristatus, P. waltl, C. pyrrhogaster, etc.
And some good terrestrial species are Ambystoma tigrinum/mavortium sp., A. maculatum, Salamandra sp., etc.

Extremely easy to care for, very tough newts, readily available CB, and cheap. Perfect combo for a beginner newt.
