Bernardezi fire salamander

Does anyone know if fire salamanders ever lay eggs?

Fire sals either give birth to larvae or in the case of benardezi fully developed young.

I think they can dump eggs that are not fertile. They either give birth to larva or non gilled young. If memory serves me correctly some bernardezi have gilled larvae and some have young without gills.
