Well she sure looks healthy and well cared for. THe tank is well planted, looks like she is in good hands there...

Thank you Henk, and Jennifer.

Ella is a BIG eater, but she is probably gravid. She is the mother of a couple batches of larvae. Her mate is Sam. He is a large, handsome, fellow.

I just wish that I had the equipment, and knowledge, to take decent pics. So in the meantime, I promise that any future pics will be just as bad. So for all future photographers, when you are frustrated, take a look at mine - you will feel much better about yours!

Nice animals Pamela, and take heart, your pictures aren't that bad when compared to mine!!

Wow judging by the shape of her cloaca she looks like she's in breeding condition.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
