Hey
Nice photo's, what species is that Atelopus? Is it A. carbonerensis?

Greets Mark

I am not sure what species it is, i was so excited when i saw them i forgot to look.

I'm almost certain that this is Atelopus zeteki. Only a handful of species of Atelopus are kept in captivity and of those even fewer breed. I think zeteki is the one most often bred.

But I've been wrong about little hippity-hop neotropical things before.

It is zeteki. The reason that this is the most commonly bred atelopus is that most of the reproduction is to establish a self sufficient population in captivity as it is now almost extinct in the wild.
Atelopids in general are going extinct at a very rapid rate.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
