Hi all! It's been awhile since I've posted, but I'm back with 3 new axies!

This is Bart, my new Golden. This pic really doesn't do him justice. He's a really vibrant yellow.

Lisa, my freckled lucy. She is so freckly!

Kaysie, is the last one a melanoid? I thought it was just a regular albino...

Definitely melanoid. See how velvety and smooth it looks compared to the other golden? And how there's no shiny eye-ring? It's lacking iridophores. Lucky!

So will he darken over time? What does that mean?

 

[Kaysie]

It's big enough now that it's probably going to stay that color, maybe a little darker and less translucent as it ages. Being melanoid just means it doesn't have iridophores. It has no bearing on anything but color.
