Hi

few days a go i found my pachytriton upside down in the tank,
hardly handle himself to get up again,

since that day he does not use his back legs anymore,
they just spread or straight to the body positioned
so he can't walk very well only moving on his front

and now start to bite himself in the tail

so whats the best i can do for him now, if there is a chance to help the poor guy ?

In the 3rd and 4th photos, it looks like his tail has some infected skin maybe? It might be best to keep the newt on wet paper towels so that it doesn't go upside-down again. If the skin is infected, it could be treated with antibiotic ointment (I have no idea what products are available on your side of the ocean). Of course, taking it to a vet would be the best thing to do, if possible.

By the way, it isn't a Cynops, it's a paddletail (Pachytriton).

oh, I thought that would be bite marks, because I've noticed that skin failure only today
and the leg problem startet about 4 days ago
