Hello.

So I have one little guy that's maybe a couple weeks or so old (front legs are just starting to form) and I noticed that he has a large air bubble in his stomach. I don't know how it got there or what's up with it so he's obviously floating. You can even see it inside him. :(

I've never seen a little baby have one before but for the parents they tend to pass them and everything is okay, at least it did when they were younger.

Should I not worry about this and just let it pass? I'm not terribly worried if this is fatal (I know that sounds harsh...) but I'm pretty sure I'll have 200-300 more chances this fall when they start making more eggs again!

Thanks!

They get them all the time, I have 20 hatched baby wilds and they love to just float at times.

Hi. It is probably not fatal but as for going away easy maybe not! I have had a baby since it was like a month old have had her for 2 or three months since and she has had that bubble since the night I picked her up. She didnt have it when i got her but by the time i got home it was there and has never disappeared for more than a day and it doesnt completely disappear just enough it no longer has her on her side or upside down. Could be an air gulper or because she eats like a pig but all day every day probably not. So it depends on what caused it and why. If i can figure out mine or someone can give me an answer iI will definately let you know. If you figure it out drop me a line. Good luck!!
