I was thinking about buying a couple of cynops babies, but I've heard that cynops babies are a real challange! If heard that they are too much fragille and that they refuse to eat easily... is it true? thanks!
The real question is where they came from. if they are from a reputable source, then I wouldn't worry. However, form a petshop you probably know the risks. They are only "fragile" if not handled properly.
I agree with Jeff and would also like to add that if they are known to be eating and you can provide the proper foods for their stage in development then they're not a problem. What species are you planning on Felipe? C. pyyrhogaster larvae have a tendency to morph at a small size and either don't develop appetites or are tough to find food for at this size.
i have a couple juvies that are really small and i don't know what to feed them. i tried tubiflex worms but they don't tend to like them(meaning they don't eat them at all.
Chris, if they won't eat tubifex (blackworms?), then I'd say try fruit flies. How are you offering the worms? Are the juvies staying wet, or staying on land?
Felipe, bloodworms (Chironimus) are fine if the newts are staying in the water.
