Hi I am new to the forum :D

After a lot of research and consideration, my partner and I decided to get some axolotls. We have got 2 juveniles which are about 6 weeks (separated). One of them looks younger though as its hind legs have not grown yet.

We understand at this age that live food is best and have been looking into live brine shrimp, I have found a LFS that sells them but we are confused how to keep the brine shrimp, because as I understand they only live for 24hours in freshwater and I doubt they will eat a lot so wondering what I do with the rest?

Thanks

Are the brine shrimp the right size for the axolotls? You'll need to keep the shrimp in the salt water they came in. You can also mix additional salt water, or ask the LFS if they can give you a few extra cups of water, so you can do some water changes to keep the shrimp healthy for a few days. You may have to go back to the store every few days for more.
