Yours hatched around when mine did :) hehe
Okay so first off, Maybe Id check the water parameters of your tap water just to be sure. You really never know and testing water should be the first step when you have a mass dying.
When you do water changes, do you do a 100% water change and rinse our the containers?
What kind of brine shrimp are you feeding them? If its frozen brine shrimp are you doing a water change after you feed them? They have a lot of salt in the cubes and it could effect the pH tremendously in a small tub of water.
If it is baby brine shrimp, they should be big enough to be eating bigger by now. I'm feeding mine frozen bloodworms and mine hatched march 8th

Have you noticed anything strange about them over the last two weeks or are these just sudden deaths? I have had one die on me and one is going to probably pass soon but they were sick for a week before they pass. Once they stop eating though I will euthanize them.

Normally if you have sudden, mass dyings close together like this, It is either problems from your water or your food source. So those should be taken into consideration first. It seems pretty rare that at their age, the sudden deaths would be caused by genetic problems. at least in that big of a number

One more thing, how are they seperated? Do you have them all in one tub or? I have mine all individually seperated because I was having a nipping problem. I'd suggest seperating them if you can just in case its some kind of bacterial, viral thing that is killing them off. its better to be safe in my opinion because right now you don't know what is wrong.

hi, yeah i do 100% water changes and rinse out the tubs. its the baby brine shrimp, we hatch it ourselves but i think ill try bloodworm tonight. theyre spread out in different tubs but im going to thin them out a bit more

I've been feeding mine bloodworms for two weeks now. Maybe they are not getting enough food from the bbs anymore?
do their bellies still swell and get full of food from the bbs still? I couldnt hatch enough to keep mine well fed thats when I started on bloodworms. or live blackworms or whiteworms or something a bit bigger then bbs would be fine.
See if that helps.
do you have a test kit to test the water?

with the lighter coloured ones i can see they have full orange bellies after they have fed. strangely its always been the darker coloured ones that have died. Yeah ive got the API master kit, ive filled a big bowl with their fresh water and added Prime so ill test it tonight

I would also say to be very careful about the water temp. Anywhere at /over 70 degrees and they'll stress and die. So make sure the room temp is nice and cool.

i have been worried about the temperature because it can get warm in the room theyre in. will need to make some space for them in a cooler room

Are you ensuring your water changes are all the same temperature? What's your water source?

i fill jugs with water in the morning and add the Prime, its at 11 degrees just now. Tap water

Uh oh. Yep, lost 3 because my room got too hot when I left the blinds open on a sunny day. If everything else checks out, I would bet that the room temp is the issue. A fan blowing on the tanks will help a little, but not enough if the room is getting hot enough to kill them.

checked all the water stats and theyre all fine so im gonna put it down to the room temp. i get worried when i do water changes because of the difference in temperature which is why ive started leaving the water out all day. is 11 degrees ok?

but also due to living in freezing scotland and having 2 young kids i need to have the heating on. ive got them in the kitchen now where its a lot cooler so hopefully that will sort the problem. tried them with some bloodworm earlier but they werent interested

Making up the water ahead of time so it can level out temp wise with the room temp will certainly keep you from shocking them with too big a water temp difference.

If you're talking about 11 degrees C, then yes, that's about 59 F, so it's fine.
