So far I had 50 hatched, went to get Daphnia and they had not had the delivery  so not impressed, asked if they had baby brine shrimp which they did and blood worm so got a pkt of each. Gave them the BBS this morning came home tonight and all babies in one tub had died:(, in the other there was a few still alive so fished them out and put them in clean water. Now my question is can I put the blood worm in and will they be ok? I still have a few to hatch and really want them to be ok.

Maybe the water where the BBS were in was too dirty (or salt) for your babies and caused them to die. Did you rinse the BBS with water before feeding it to your axies?

Before I feed the bloodworms I will do a partial (or even a 100%) water change (dechlorinated water) to make sure that if the BBS-water (I call it that for now) was dirty or salty or something else that it's out. And I would rinse the bloodworms before feeding them. (Actually all the food I feed my axies (even the bigger ones) is rinsed before I feed them, so that I'm sure (most of) the dirt, eew-goo and other nasty stuff is gone)

Edit: oh, now I read you placed the axies in clean water. Sorry, I just read it too quickly :)

Thank you, i did rinse the bloodworm, so should they be ok with the bloodworm?

Pretty sure they will be okay if you remove the uneaten bloodworms quickly before they can foul the water. (I mean... Don't leave them in there for days or so :p)

Can you explain exactly what you purchased? Were these foods live or frozen?

Keep the larvae in several separate containers so you can try different things. At this stage they only need TINY amounts of food - using more risks contaminating the water.
