Hey all,

So, I have had a few instances of waking up to find a few of my babies floating toward the top of the water.

I am feeding well every day, and everyone is eating very well, doing daily water changes with dechlorinated tap water, and the temp is stable at 63 degrees.

Any ideas? Found one deceased last night even though it was fine when I checked on them a few hours beforehand. :(

Thanks for the help and yes, after all of this, I'm getting discouraged with all of the problems I'm having and how many I've lost. :(

The first time I had the same problem. Swimming in BBS and still floating. It stopped when I added an airstone to their tubs. They just needed some oxygen I guess.

Not enough food? Really? :(

I let them gorge themselves every time I feed them, but it's only been once a day since they weren't digesting everything in 12 hours. I'll amp them up to twice a day then and see if that helps. No one has been floating the last 24 hours, so feeling a little better about them.

Thanks for the help!

I keep mine on a constant supply of food until they're around 2 inches long, daphnia and brine shrimp.

I found that having a constant supply of food will keep them down and not hungry, i also found it helped with the cannibalism when they had a abundance of food with them. i was hatcing 3 table spoons of bbs a day, 1 and a half in the morning and 1 and a half at night until they were big enough to eat cut blood or black worms

I only have 11 babies, but have 3 hatcheries going, but the new batch of shelless hatchable bbs are not hatching well at all. Have the regular bbs eggs running now as well, and trying to keep on top of things, but even though I haven't changed what I'm doing as far as the hatcheries, my hatch rate has dropped drastically. :(
