So I have a new axolotl, just got her last night. I was told to feed her frozen blood worms, and i saw a video where they put the cube in water to separate the worms. I was told to only feed ten worms, but then what do i do with the rest? Do i put them in a glass jar with a wide mouth so it's easy to clean and for my axie to find? Or do i use a feeding dish, where do i get these? Is there a certain time you feed them, or does the time need to be consistent? Can i feed her red worms yet (i have these)? How many?? How often do you feed a juvenile, and how do you know when you need to feed more? Overall questions is how, when, and what do you feed your axie depending on age? All help is appreciated, i need to feed her tomorrow.

Sorry for the messed up title! How do I bold it?

How long is your axolotl? If three inches or longer you can transition to earthworms which are far more nutritious. You can chop the worms into smaller pieces if needed. With the frozen bloodworm cubes, you would need to thaw the worms out and use a feeding dish. I'd probably offer the whole cube but remove any leftover worms your axolotl doesn't eat so they don't foul the water. For a juvenile I would feed every day. Mine usually would eat one larger earthworm or two smaller ones in each feed but you may find it varies depending on individual axolotls. They usually will stop snapping at food or will spit the food out if they have had enough.
