I am new here & just trying to start a discussion with my fellow axie lovers. If you are from my generation than you more than likely know what I'm talking about! Lol. :D

Anyone who buy an axolotl from me does it on the understanding that 3 names are banned:
Wooper, Mudkip and Toothless.
Mind you, I have an albino named Pinky and a leucistic named Freckles, a floater named Bob and a runt with one leg called Stumpy, so maybe I should just shut up....

I couldn't resist naming my lil guy's pinky and the brain and no pinky isn't pink but one is kookie acting and the other is a little grumpy and they are always scheming something mostly how to get food but at least once a night on how to take over the world

Not a coincidence, "wooper looper" is Japanese for "axolotl"!

They eat them there >.<

Really?! I didn't know that! No one the pokemon resembles an axie. Btw I love pokemon....I'm more fond of the first and second generation pokemon though since that was my era. lol

Mmm... Except Wooper doesn't exhibit neoteny. It metamorphoses/"evolves" into Quagsire.

While Mudkip keeps its gills up to Mega Swampert.

Wooper also gets back legs before front!

To me, Wooper looks like most any gilled salamander larvae. And this has been way, waaaay too deep an analysis if Pokemon. (...My dream team comprises of Gastrodon and Macargo.)

If I do get Axolotls in future, I'm still naming them Groliffe and Obelix. ;)

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. I also asked this as an actual question in a thread in case anyone wants to answer it there instead of here
