Axolotls have a tank divider, still found eggs everywhere

Well the tank is covered in eggs again, just the female's half this time because the two of them are separated by a tank divider. How did this happen?!

Either some spermatophores somehow got through, in which case, how small should the holes in the divider be to avoid this?
Or the eggs are non fertilised, in which case how can I tell? It seems like there are far too many for this to be the case.

Every day is a learning day with these guys. :cool:
 
Could they have mated before you put the tank divider there?
