Hi, I've had 3 axolotls for about 2 years now and theyve always gotten along and Ive never had any problems with them before. Awhile ago I noticed the bone was showing at the join of one of my axolotls back legs. He can use it still but the leg doesnt seem to be healing even with a fungus treatment put in, and hes been eating alot less lately too, he just doesnt eat the food when I put it in front of him. I was wondering if theres something I can do for him, make the leg drop off or something because it doesnt look like its going to heal

Steven, axies are mastes of healing so try to be patient. I would move him to a bare tank that is quite small so he can't move about too much.

you don't say what th fungal treatment is but simply stick with salt baths a couple of times a day to help prevent infection.

Please don't try any impropmtu or DIY amputation.

if he's that bad then try and find a herp vet in your area.

Well the medication thing I have is called phenoxine, its a blue coloured liquid and treats white spots, rot, skin disease and stuff.

I've not tried salt baths before, and dont know what to do at all.. if anyone could help me with some tips thatd be great
