I have had an axolotl for about 2 months. She should be about 3-4 months old altogether. About 5-6 ago she stopped eating. She hasn't pooped since then that I am aware of. Before that she gobbled down blood worms. Tried feeding her earth worms to see if she just wanted variety but showed no interest in that either. Water condition looks mostly ok. I checked it last night and ammonia was between 0 and .25, nitrite was 0 and nitrate was between 10 and 20. Temp has pretty consistently been between 62 and 66 usually around 63-64. Got up to 67 or so when it started getting warm but a fan and air conditioner brought it back down. She sometimes looks like she is floating against her will. She was looked like her tail has floated up or look liked it was taking some work to swim down. But other times it looks like she stays on the bottom no problem. What should I do? Should I be worried?

ideally she needs to see a vet, the before photos show her abdomen area to be bumpy as if she had ingested something.
the last photo is very blurry but it does look like something is being pushed out along with a possible prolapse.

Thanks for the reply. I have been trying to find a vet near me that knows anything about axolotls but have not had a lot of luck.

check all the ornaments etc.. to make sure nothing has come loose and been swallowed.
is it only bloodworm that has been fed previously.
increasing the waters salinity will help with the prolapse, 2g/l non-iodised salt, 0.2g/l magnesium sulphate (epsom salt) may help with the bowel movement.
make sure that there is an air-stone in the water for oxygenation.
is it possible for a photo from above.
make sure to keep the tank cold 15°c - 18°c, closer to 15°c being best.
check ammonia nitrites and ph daily.

Yes only bloodworms. I was just started trying to feed her earthworms but she hadn't started eating them before she stopped eating anything. I will try that tonight and then continue my quest to find a vet who can treat axolotls tomorrow. I will try to get a picture from above tonight also but she is kind of hiding underneath some things. Would it be a good idea to move those and possibly disturb her or just let her rest? Thanks again!

wait until she comes out, best not to increase stress levels.

I was just putting the salt into her tank when she suddenly moved and whatever white thing that was coming out of her tail came lose. This is what is looks like.

Maybe just give her normal care, sometimes the simplest option can be the best option. Although I'm on entirely sure it will work p.

Some better pictures.
