Hello! I️ have an axolotl I’ve had for about three weeks now, and I’ve noticed something seems to be wrong with his spine. Maybe it’s the way his organs are positioned since he is albino and I️ can see them, but it appears his spine is crooked, and I️ am not sure what is wrong. He’s been perfectly healthy. He eats a cube of blood worms a day, water is changed 40% weekly, temperature is from 69-72 degrees Fahrenheit (higher than i’d Like. I have a fan and frequently use bagged ice to cool it down) . Nothing appears to be wrong other than his spine. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I️ just want to make sure he’s okay and this is normal! Thank you!

There does appear to be some abnormality there and it is most likely congenital.
From what you have written, you are caring for him well. I would start maybe offering earthworm as this is one of the best foods for him. Keep us posted on how he gets along

Thank you!! I️ read somewhere that it’s possible he’s been inbred. I️m going to the fish store I️ got him from today and hopefully they can help
