Hey y'all. Quick background info. My axolotl has been floating for over a week. I was worried it could possibly be bad quality water, and have been keeping him in bucket w daily 100% water changes. Took him to an exotic vet yesterday who I trust very much and has good experience with axolotls. He did lots of tests and said the problem was gas. He's having digestive issues and let me know to change his eating habits. instead of every other day, do small amounts every day. And also, change up his diet. Since he's still tiny I've been doing strictly blood worms, but the doctor let me know earth worms are good. So I went shopping yesterday, got earth worms, chopped em up, and he seemed to like them a lot. I woke up this morning, and he looked better already. Already had stopped floating, thought the vet was a miracle worker. Came home from work today and it looks like he threw up the worms.
What are ur guys's thoughts. Think he ate too much? That's what I'm leaning towards but I'm still worried and would like other opinions

ive personally never dealt with an axolotl vomiting, so I have no real experience here- but it sounds like it could be that he has an upset gut and cant keep food down for now. other than that, idk
