Hey everyone! I was hoping I could get some advice around a couple things. I have a tank set up for an axolotl with some live plants and sand. It has been cycling for about a month now and seemed to be going alright. I introduced the Axie about two weeks ago and for the most part he seems happy and healthy. The water parameters are reading fine. My only issue it has been two weeks and he hasnt eaten anything. I have tried the tablets the pet store was using, frozen shrimp, and live worms. He may have eaten the worms as I cant find them in the tank anymore but I never actually saw it happen. With the tablet, he just rests his head on it but doesn't actually eat it. He isnt floating or acting weird or showing any other signs of impaction other than not eating. his tank did originally have some fine black gravel which was adbertised as sand but really was more like gravel. I swapped to proper sand recently and as a result the water is super murky. Parameters still reading fine, I did wash the sand throughouly before adding. Should I just do some water changes until it clears up? It's been a few days now and doesnt seem to be getting better. Its possible the Axie ingested some of the black gravel before I changed the subtrate, but as I said apart from no appetite he isnt showing any other signs. Any tips advice or help would be appreaciated. essentialy he looks okay, looks healthy and acts normal, the water quality seems fine, but I want to clear up the murkiness and I would love the axie to start eating. TIA!

although you say that the water parameters are fine what are they? ie.. temperature, ph, ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, kh, gh.
bloodworm tends to be a favourite for axolotls and may be worth trying.
if the murkiness is caused by debris then water changes plus your filter should be able to clear the water.
