I've got an axolotl that's about a year and a half old, and recently stopped eating. Not only that, but her gills have been very pale lately as well. I've tested the water parameters, and ammonia and nitrite are both at 0ppm, while nitrate is at an acceptable level. She is still active, walking around the tank and whatnot, but whenever a worm is offered to her, she will immediately turn away and shows no interest in it. I had thought that perhaps she was impacted, but I have no substrate in the tank, and there is nothing small enough that she would be able to swallow and get stuck. It's been almost three weeks since she last ate, and several water changes and filtration media swaps later, I'm completely out of ideas. Is there anything else I could try to get her to eat, or any other ideas?

there is a variety of food that you could try her with ranging from live ie.. shrimp/fish/worms, frozen ie.. bloodworm/brine shrimp/krill/mysis/chopped mussel/chopped cockle/chopped prawn/beef heart, there are also pellets.
check the temperature aswell as the water hardness, also make sure you have an air-stone installed.

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail. I also asked this as an actual question in a thread in case anyone wants to answer it there instead of here
