Axolotl legs

one of my axolotl has two front legs that are deformed.was wondering since they grow back if there was any chance of them growing back like normal legs if removed.
 
Have you got a photo? If they don't bother him then I would leave him.
 
ill get a photo.just feel bad cause it has a hard time swimming around.ok took pic trying to ad it..

Are they bent backwards like that? Or is she just holding them like that?
You say your axie has a hard time swimming. How about walking?

One of my young axies had some weird toes clumped together. A tank mate ripped them off and they grew back pretty normal. Not sure if that works perfectly on adult axies. When my adult axies lose a limb it grows back kinda freaky. (Freaky like in: toes clumped together, weird shaped feet, extra toes, missing toes, toes on top of another toe, extra limb etc...)
 
It's possible that they would grow back normally if amputated. But if it's a genetic issue, they'll grow back similarly.
