Hey! Looking for help and advice
Issue: For the last 3 days my Axolotl hasn’t been using one of his front leg much. He can still move it and occasionally uses it when he absolutely has to, but the majority of the time he keeps it pressed against his side. It doesn’t appear to be broken and there doesn’t seem to be a wound. (I’ve also changed his water and he’s eating well.)
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing it? I’m very concerned. I’ve tried looking it up, but can’t find anything that fits with what he’s doing.
His tank environment: No substrate. He doesn’t share the tank with my other axolotl due to the size difference between them, so nipping isn’t the cause . I always try to make sure the water is clean and stable. I’m wondering if maybe he injured it himself, as he’s super active and loves messing around with the aquarium decorations in the tank (cave and large aquarium rock), but not sure if this could be a sign of something else.
