Please help I got this little guy adopted a couple days ago and she has a lump on her leg, I'm wondering if it's like a bruise and will go away or if it's a more permanent thing?

When I got my axolotl a few years ago, she developed a lump on her belly. I was new to axolotls so I took her to an exotic vet (you've never had an experience with a vet until you've taken your pet to the vet in a bucket). She put her in a small tank and angled it to see. She said that my axi looked healthy, the lump wasn't inflammed and not to worry about it. My axolotl is albino, so it was easier to see that. Anyway, in a few months I thought it was going to grow into another leg, but one day it was gone! I think it just fell off. She has no mark where it was at all. I would suggest that you go to a vet to reassure yourself though.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

sorry I am having a hard time trying to upload the pictures- I have them saved on my hard drive... any suggestions-the prompts here are not allowing for downloads that way as far as I can tell. Thanks
