If anyone is into games on their smart phones or tablets, here is one that has axolots in it!

It's called 'Bean's Quest' and the story has a Mexican boy, who bets turned into a jumping bean by an evil wizard who also steals his grilfriend and all of his pet axolots! In the game, he has to go through different levels of obstacles (as a jumping bean!) to save his girl, and the axolotls. The axies are scattered around the entire game and there is one on each level to be found and rescued. Very cute!

The game is retro style (think Mario, or Sonic), with several levels, and trust me, it's not easy! The kids love it, especially trying to find the lost axolots. And it's available both for Apple devices and Android.

Have fun, but don't get hooked! ;-)

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
