So ive been doing a lot of reading on what could have possibly gone wrong with Cheese since he was taken out in 6 days considering he was healthy, and the most likely answer so far is some kind of parasitic infection or bacteria. Ive been reading on different Protozoa parasites and they can affect axolotls, and by reading about symptoms it could have been what Cheese contracted. The bleeding holes on his body can be a symptom of a particular harmful protozoa that affect the inside of its host which would explain the vomiting, and they can create holes in the body as well. This is all just speculation but it is the only things that i can think of right now which is terrifying because the same could happen to Mac. There might be a possibility for the protozoa to have been ingested by Cheese by eating the live earth worms i feed them, they live in compost and i read they can live on soil. Should i stop feeding Mac live earthworms? I know they are staple diet for axies, so its a hard thing to think about. Could there be a way to sterilize them first before feeding them to Mac?
