This is the first time my axolotl laid eggs (3 weeks ago) and I just wanted to show you how they developed! The mother is a Copper and the father can be the leucist of wildtype.

Pictures!

Jasmine,

I am raising eggs too!!! I wish I had a camera so that I could upload pics.
Its exciting being able to compare my babies to somebody else's, making sure everything is going as it is supposed to.
Thanks for the pics :)

This is the first time my axolotl laid eggs, so it's all new to me too! I'm really enjoying it, still love my babies :D

Hi, how old were your babies when they started to take the worms? and what did you use for food?

Oh wow, good work! They look super cute and healthy. I hope to be a first time axolotl egg raiser soon too :)

@ Ilsa: I started with live BBS (brineshrimp) and when they got bigger (you can decide for yourself when the time is right) I started to give them sliced (living) tubifex worms. As they grew even bigger, I introduced them to bloodworms and that's what they eat right now. They are about about 8 cm and they will go to they permanent homes soon

This is what they look like now.

Are you pumping water into your main container through those blue tubes or it is just air? Looks like great setup, I may take some tips from this photo ;)

thanks Jasmine....mine have been eating worms for over a month now and are growing really well. It's so exciting watching them grow and develop...next will be trying to get them homes. It's going to be so hard to part with my babies
