Hey All,
i have some Axolotl spawn , developing well , i have some baby brine shrimp and micro worms. , I was wandering how do i feed the brine shrimp to them? ive heard there marine and the water there in could harm or possible kill the newly hatched Larvae?
Much appricated Harley. ;)

I use a baby medicine dropper and suck some then put them in with the axolotl. I leave them in there for a few hours, then I use the same dropper to suck out as much dirty water and dead bbs as possible, then I replace it with clean cycled water from my big tank. Bbs are a pain in the butt, I recently ordered newly hatched daphnia and they are much easier to deal with just because they live longer and are freshwater.
I've also heard of people using turkey baster or small syringe.

yeah thats what i wanted, but i cant find anywhere that sells them online :(

Shanny, where did you order the daphnia from? I been looking for a place to get them.
Thanks.

The key to baby brine shrimp is hatch your own and get eggs that are in good condition. Use them in a day or two of hatching. If you buy eggs from a pet store they are probably old eggs and you are setting yourself up for problems. I get my eggs from brineshrimpdirect.com and have had good results hatching them in a soda bottle hatchery.

I've got a hatching dish too! Works really well- and my soda bottle set up still hasn't worked! I used Sera premixed eggs and salt in the dish so unfortunately the eggs weren't kept separate, and Waterlife shelless eggs (hatchable ones) in the soda bottle with a lamp and air line.
Anyone got any experience with the shelless eggs?
