Hi there!
I've recently got 2 axolotls one Golden Albino and one Wild in hoping to breed. The golden albino i'm guessing is a female she's 6 inches and the wild one i'm briefly guessing is a male. What's weird is, the albino looks as if she sometimes has dark toe tips (for maturity) but sometimes not, the wild however has light toe tips but an undeveloped cloaca. I was wondering if even in these situations would axolotls breed? They're currently in the same tank and they get along fine, sometimes gives each other kisses but i really want to know if they would breed since they're so young still it wouldn't be the best.
Also, would the length of gills sometimes determine their sex?
Thank you!
