hey! You got a amazing creature there, and I love the simple but natural tank set up! She seems very happy swimming in it!
By the way, what's that thing you put inside with a plastic bag? Is it a filter or something?

Thanks all!

Karrie Clinton, I do not know what it is type, but in Moscow it is widespread.

Morrissey, the plastic bag is a filter. In my opinion it very good as it is well enriched with oxygen and quickly destroys organic connections. Contents of the filter - porous ceramics.

thanks Pavel!
Forget to tell, you got a wonderful camera too!!!

I just noticed the WHITE tips on his toes! How cute is that!
I always wondered how one could tell if a dark colour was sexually matured

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
