ok, since the move they have not really been very happy at all. bailey has little spots on his head (they dont look red or anything, just raised dots) and tia has a white tuft under her arm which im not sure if shes caught on something and its just flesh hanging off or its a fungal infection. also, they both have little white bits on their gills. their water quality was a little high in ammonia but i think its sorted now. ill test it tonight. is there anything i can do in the meantime to help them? salt dip maybe?
any help would be great thanks

salt bath (You can find the recipe on caudate culture, I believe). If it is a fungal infection, you want to treat as early as possible. If they've got white bits in their gills, I'd bet on an infection of something. Is Bailey leucistic? and the dots brown/black? That would be normal.

ok, ammonia is 0 so thats good. bailey is a wildtype. the dots are his normal skin colour it sort of looks like hives or sandpaper.

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
