Hi guys,
I have two axolotls in my tank that are separated by a divider. My first axie Knox is only 3-3 1/2 inches and my second axie Apollo is 7 inches. I just recently adopted Apollo off of an online breeder, however, Apollo is a lot bigger than described. Both axies seem extremely interested in the other and will even hang out practically face to face as close as the divider will allow. If I was to feed them would it be safe for me to lift the divider up for short completely supervised play dates? My tank has 5 different hides they can use. If supervised during introductions would Knox be in any danger?
In the picture is Apollo staring at Knox who was doing the same. Apollo has white spots on his tail and gills that have been on him/her since adoption. Believe it is just spotting rather than fungus as he/she has had it for a while and is not acting stressed or sick.
