hi all, i have 3 axies in a 45 gal that get along fine. the past 2 weeks, one of them has been hiding in a cave and never comes out. i have been putting worms by the entrance to the cave and it is taking the worms so i know that it is eating. any ideas why it won't come out?

It might just be typical weird Axie behavior. Maybe he/she is more mobile at night and just likes to hang out there during the day. Is it bright in the room they are kept in? He/she could be bothered by the lights thus making it more willing to come out when you're not around.

Do you think it's not getting along with the other two? Maybe try removing him/her from the tank into a seperate tank, put the cave in there with him/her and see if it still hides out in there. Would probably help narrow down your options :]

have you got any aquarium lights on or other brights lights that he may be hiding from? Is there a strong current from the filter he may be trying to get away from? He may just really like the cave and may be normal behaviour for him. My wild type loves his pirate ship and is often hiding in there.

i have the lights on a timer so they are on for a few hours in the morning & at night. he/she did have her head stuck out of the cave yesterday at dinner time. she is much smaller than the other 2 so that might be an issue. i will keep an eye on her & keep hand feeding her. thanks guys.
